Bedrooms
It may be a cliché, but in the case of Old Downton Lodge we can rightly claim that each of our bedrooms is unique.
Fashioned out of ancient stables and barns, you certainly won’t encounter uniformity here: A mixture of exposed beams, high ceilings, alcoves, malt shoots and hidey holes have all been incorporated in varying combinations in one room or another.
Nor is there anything uniform about the furnishings (apart from the fact that all the beds are wonderfully comfortable).
Please note dogs are welcome in some of the bedrooms. Please contact us directly to arrange a dog friendly bedroom. We do not allow dogs in the Sitting room or the Dining Room. They are welcome in the courtyard on a lead please.
Antique dressers, modern solid oak four posters and contemporary cool have all found their place.

Rooms 1, 3, 5, 6 and 9 have a walk in shower ensuite. Rooms 2, 4, 7 and 8 have a bath and a shower ensuite.
